Merrick L. Horn, DPM

For more than 40 years the name Horn has been synonymous with Podiatric medicine in the South Florida area. Dr. Merrick L. Horn is a native Floridian, and in 1990 he joined his father, Dr. Martin M. Horn, to form Advanced Podiatry Group in North Miami Beach. In 1993 they moved to their current location, and Dr. Horn has continued to provide podiatric care to the community ever since. Dr. Horn received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He is board certified, and re-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, and has been a member of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine for more than 25 years

Dr. Horn specializes in sports injuries related to the lower leg, ankle and foot, with a particular expertise in achilles tendon injuries and heel pain. He uses his knowledge of being a former athlete in serving his patients in the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports injures. Dr. Horn was an accomplished NCAA gymnast, and was a member of the gold medal winning 1981 USA Gymnastic team competing in the World Maccabiah Games. He also served as a personal trainer specializing in lower extremity rehabilitation. Dr. Horn provides his expertise to not only professional, collegiate, and high school athletes, but to athletes of all levels. As a specialist in comprehensive lower leg, ankle, foot, and toenail problems, Dr. Horn utilizes the latest technology available to serve the needs of his patients.
